Phrase Harbor · ThinksView
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Phrase Harbor is an English learning game from ThinksView. This policy covers the Phrase Harbor iPhone and iPad app and this website, phraseharbor.thinksview.com. For privacy questions, contact smile@thinksview.com.
1. The short version
- The app does not require a Phrase Harbor account.
- Learning progress and preferences are stored locally. We do not operate a server that collects your learning history.
- The app has no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
- Apple handles App Store payments. We do not receive your payment card details.
- This website has no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, sign-up forms or marketing cookies.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes network information needed to deliver and protect the website.
2. Information kept in the app
The app saves discovered phrases, practice and memory records, favorites, daily learning plans, language choices, audio preferences and other settings in local files on your device. These records let the app continue your adventure and schedule practice. Resetting learning in Settings removes the current learning progress and favorites after confirmation; it does not cancel a verified purchase.
We do not run application-level synchronization of learning history between devices. iOS or iPadOS device backups may include local app files, depending on your Apple settings. Backup storage, restoration and removal are controlled through Apple’s services and your device settings. Deleting the app removes its local data from the device, subject to the operating system’s behavior; copies in device backups may need to be managed separately.
3. Purchases and device features
Optional content purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The app uses Apple-provided transaction and entitlement information to verify access, restore purchases and respond to refunds or revocations. Purchasing and restoring may connect to Apple and use your Apple Account. We do not operate a payment server and do not collect card numbers or your Apple password.
English speech uses the English voices available on your device. The app’s authored text is sent to the system speech service for reading aloud; Phrase Harbor does not ask you to record speech or upload microphone audio. Availability or downloads of system voices are managed by Apple and the operating system.
Apple may make store reports or diagnostics available to developers under your Apple settings and Apple’s policies. These services are separate from an in-app analytics SDK. See Apple’s privacy information for more about Apple’s processing.
4. This website
The browser puzzle uses a fixed set of word choices and runs in your browser. We do not send your answers to a server, save them in a profile, or store a browser learning history. Your chosen display language is represented by the page URL. We do not set preference or tracking cookies or use browser storage for this demo.
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. Delivering pages, caching content and protecting the service may involve IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, URLs, network details and security logs. Cloudflare may process this information in countries where it operates. Its processing and retention are described in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. We do not add an analytics or advertising service to this website.
Images, styles and scripts are served from this website. Following a link to Apple, ThinksView or another website takes you to a service governed by its own policy. An email link opens your chosen email service; it does not submit a form through this website.
5. Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address, the message and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use them to answer your question, investigate the issue and keep necessary support records. Please avoid sending passwords, full payment details or other unnecessary sensitive information. We do not use support messages for advertising or sell them.
We keep support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to resolve and document requests, maintain service records or meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence we hold, subject to obligations that require retention.
6. Choices and requests
You control local learning records through the app and your device. Purchase records held by Apple and host processing by Cloudflare are managed through those providers. For information about personal data we hold in support correspondence, or to request access, correction or deletion, email smile@thinksview.com. We will respond in accordance with the law that applies to your request. We may need enough information to verify the request and cannot access learning history that exists only on your device.
If a child contacts support, a parent or guardian can contact us about the message. The app has no public profiles, chat or user-generated content submission. Please do not include a child’s unnecessary personal information in a support request.
7. Changes
We may update this policy when the app, website or relevant practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be described on this page. Contact: ThinksView, smile@thinksview.com.
